Project Highlight

Christ Hospital’s new 125,000 square foot facility will be the largest medical center they have ever built, aside from their main campus, and will create more than 300 jobs in Liberty Township.  The site will be Christ Hospital’s first freestanding emergency room facility and offer primary care and specialty services such as orthopedics, urology and cardiology.  It will also include imaging equipment such as X-ray, ultrasound, MRI and CT scan as well as surgical operating rooms.  Bayer Becker coordinated multi-discipline design on the site with multiple consultants, some located outside Ohio.

Overall site design for the project, including 485 parking spaces, was fairly predictable.  However, utility layout and site grading had to account for twin force mains on the north end of the site.  In addition to the overall site design, Bayer Becker had to gain FAA approval for the facility’s helipad, which will be used to transport patients to the main campus.
