Rhinegeist is one of Cincinnati’s best local craft breweries and also been named one of America’s largest producers of craft beers. With such an incredible amount of success, Rhinegeist had hopes to keep expanding and have a distribution center aside from their Over the Rhine distillery. Expanding their business was made possible by making a distribution center in Camp Washington, Ohio. Rhinegeist has given new life to the historic property.
Bayer Becker’s ability to create a detailed conceptual design was key for the Rhinegeist Distribution Center. Preparing a grading plan for finished floor elevations that would work for all four phases of the overall design, while also keeping the site earthwork balanced, was one of the challenges Bayer Becker faced. Detailed planning was essential to ensure the above ground basin was properly designed along with stormwater detention to account for any future buildout on the parcel. Bayer Becker worked closely with MSD to provide the Rhinegeist Brewery with their goal.
A contributing factor that helped expedite the permit process for this project was Bayer Becker’s relationship with each of the City entities. We worked closely with DOTE and MSD to alleviate any concerns prior to completing the permit drawings.
