Rhinegeist Distribution Center

Warehouse with colorful stripes, parking lot in front, cloudy sky, trees, and hills in background.

Rhinegeist, one of Cincinnati’s most celebrated craft breweries, continues to grow beyond its Over-the-Rhine roots. To support its expanding operations, the brewery established a new distribution center in Camp Washington, breathing new life into a historic industrial property.

Bayer Becker played a key role in bringing this vision to life by providing detailed conceptual site design and engineering services. One of the primary challenges was developing a grading plan that accommodated finished floor elevations for all four phases of the project while maintaining a balanced earthwork strategy. Our team also designed an above-ground stormwater detention basin to support current needs and future expansion, ensuring long-term site functionality.

Close coordination with the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) was essential to meeting stormwater requirements and aligning with Rhinegeist’s operational goals. Bayer Becker’s strong working relationships with City of Cincinnati departments, including DOTE and MSD, helped streamline the permitting process by proactively addressing concerns before finalizing construction documents.

Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, Bayer Becker helped Rhinegeist expand its footprint while preserving the character of a historic site and supporting the brewery’s continued success.
