Requardt Lane Improvements

In Fort Mitchell, deteriorating road conditions and aging infrastructure along Requardt Lane and Virginia Avenue had become a growing concern for residents and city officials alike. The need for safer, more reliable streets and upgraded utilities was clear—not just to improve daily travel, but to support the long-term vitality of the neighborhood. Bayer Becker was brought in to help transform these essential corridors, ensuring the improvements met both the functional needs of the city and the expectations of the community. 

Our multidisciplinary team provided surveying, civil engineering, bid management, and construction observation services to support the full reconstruction of Requardt Lane. This included new full-depth asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and a modernized storm sewer system. Virginia Avenue received a mill and overlay to improve surface conditions and extend roadway life. 

Recognizing the opportunity to further enhance utility reliability, Bayer Becker also collaborated with the Northern Kentucky Water District to design and coordinate the replacement of the existing water main. The project installed 1,100 linear feet of 8” PVC water main, ensuring improved service for residents. 

Through careful planning and coordination, our team minimized disruptions and optimized project timing—delivering lasting improvements with minimal impact to the surrounding community.
