The construction of the new Presidents Hall in Miami University’s North Quad began with the demolition of the existing tennis courts. The new residential hall was constructed on this site, just north of the baseball field. Bayer Becker provided integrated surveying and civil engineering services for the design-build contractor and architect.

Bayer Becker knows the Oxford campus well, with an office less than a mile from campus for over ten years. Our team used this extensive experience to seamlessly blend the new Presidents Hall into the existing campus. Despite the extensive demolition and new construction, the Bayer Becker team was able to save the large historic sycamore tree between Presidents Hall and Hepburn Hall, providing a central gathering space for students. The site and utility improvements were integrated with the larger North Quad Renovation project, of which Bayer Becker was also a design team member. This project achieved LEED Silver certification.
