Liberty Way Improvements
Phase One of the Liberty Center mixed-use development spans 64 acres at the intersection of I-75, SR 129, and Liberty Way in Liberty Township. This initial phase includes approximately 1.2 million square feet of retail, restaurant, office, and residential space, designed to create a vibrant and accessible community hub.
Bayer Becker provided detailed construction drawings for roadway improvements recommended by the IMS, enhancing connectivity and traffic flow throughout the area. These improvements include new turn lanes, updated traffic signals, and modifications at key intersections along Liberty Way—particularly at Tylers Place Boulevard and the new access points serving Liberty Center. Our scope of work covered roadway and intersection design, drainage and hydraulics analysis, utility design and relocation, traffic control planning, and signalization design.
For the interchange modifications at Liberty Way and the I-75/SR 129 northbound and southbound exit ramps, Bayer Becker delivered a comprehensive set of services. In addition to the core design elements, this phase required a Red Flag Summary, environmental investigations, geotechnical exploration, maintenance of traffic plans, superelevation calculations, storm culvert extension design, and retaining wall design. Throughout the project, Bayer Becker has worked closely with the Butler County Engineer’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 8 Office to ensure seamless coordination and successful implementation.
