Bayer Becker partnered with the City of Hamilton to deliver comprehensive civil engineering and land surveying services in support of a major industrial development initiative. The project involved the strategic relocation of an existing sanitary sewer main, stormwater channel, and detention basin to accommodate future site construction.

Our engineering team collaborated closely with environmental consultants to design a new stormwater channel that met U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) permit requirements. The sanitary sewer work included the relocation of 1,100 linear feet of 15-inch main.

To manage stormwater effectively, a new detention basin was designed with a storage capacity of 10.8 acre-feet, serving a 280-acre watershed. To streamline approvals and maintain the project schedule, the basin was intentionally designed to remain below the threshold requiring an Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Dam Permit.
