The Findlay Community Center is a transformative community investment designed to create an inviting and welcoming facility for residents of Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The project aims to foster health, wellness, and social connection by offering a broad range of indoor and outdoor recreational amenities that are accessible to individuals and families of all ages. Located on the existing Findlay Playground site, the new recreation center will occupy approximately 20,000 square feet of the 1.3-acre property, with the remaining site area developed into vibrant outdoor spaces that encourage active play and community gathering.

The new four-level facility will include a two-court gymnasium, a leisure pool ranging from 3,000 to 3,600 square feet, a child watch area, an indoor playground, and a fitness and weights zone. Additional features include group fitness rooms, an elevated walk-jog track, collaboration and multi-purpose rooms, classrooms for wet and dry arts, an esports room, administrative offices, and a rooftop event patio. A 160-person event hall with a catering kitchen will provide space for celebrations, meetings, and community events. Together, these amenities will support a wide spectrum of recreational, educational, and social programming.

In addition to the Findlay Community Center, the project includes the reimagining of nearby Grant Park, which will be enhanced with new outdoor recreation features and spaces for community engagement. With an estimated construction budget of $47 million, this initiative represents a significant commitment to the long-term vitality of Over-the-Rhine, promoting equity, opportunity, and a stronger sense of community.
