FBI Field Office
As part of a nationwide facility improvement initiative, the General Services Administration (GSA) sought to relocate the Cincinnati FBI Field Office from its undersized downtown location to a modern, secure facility with capacity for future growth. The selected site presented unique challenges, including its proximity to established residential neighborhoods on two sides.
Our team played a key role throughout the project lifecycle, beginning with due diligence and site analysis, and continuing through development planning and detailed construction documentation. Services included civil site design, landscape architecture, irrigation planning, and LEED certification support. The project ultimately achieved LEED Gold Certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Community engagement was a critical component of the project’s success. To address neighborhood concerns and secure zoning approval, we facilitated open-house style public meetings with nearby residents. These efforts helped build trust and support among stakeholders, ensuring a smoother approval process at the township level.
During construction, we provided comprehensive administration services, including weekly coordination meetings, shop drawing reviews, and timely responses to contractor inquiries. A final site inspection and punch list review ensured all work met project standards prior to occupancy.
The project was widely regarded as a success by the developer, local officials, and the surrounding community. Our involvement from early concept through final completion was instrumental in delivering a secure, functional, and community-supported facility for the FBI.
