Dayton Convention Center Renovation

Shopping mall entrance with people, parked cars, and a pedestrian bridge.

The Dayton Convention Center is undergoing a transformative $45 million renovation that is set to be completed in early 2025. This ambitious project is revitalizing the center with a series of comprehensive upgrades, including structural, mechanical, and aesthetic enhancements. Nearly every aspect of the facility is being reimagined to create a brighter, more inviting space for events and gatherings of all kinds.

A key highlight of the renovation is the addition of an outdoor terrace, offering a versatile space for outdoor events and gatherings. This new feature enhances the functionality of the convention center while providing a scenic, open-air option for guests.

The new Flex Hall is a multi-purpose 18,000-square-foot space designed to host everything from elegant banquets and corporate meetings to weddings. It will also serve as an extension of the center’s exhibit hall, bringing the total exhibit space to an impressive 68,000 square feet.

Additionally, the project includes replacing the East Fifth Street skywalk roof, maintaining a convenient connection between the convention center and the neighboring hotel. This renovation not only modernizes the Dayton Convention Center but also positions it as a premier destination for events in the region, blending functionality with innovative design to meet the needs of today’s event planners and attendees.
