1082 Water System Expansion

Aerial view of an urban intersection with cars and surrounding buildings.

To support the Liberty Center development, Bayer Becker designed a 3,000-linear-foot extension of a 16” water main from Butler County’s 1082 pressure zone. This upgrade ensured reliable water service to multi-story buildings that would have otherwise required individual booster pumps due to inadequate pressure in the existing 1000 system. Delivered on an accelerated timeline, the project met the client’s critical opening date, with design and permitting completed in under two months.

The project was bid competitively, with the awarded construction contract coming in at approximately 80% of the engineer’s estimate—delivering significant cost savings. This infrastructure upgrade not only enabled the timely opening of Liberty Center but also enhanced regional water service capacity and pressure reliability for future development.
