Pendry Hotel (Gwynne Building)

Historic multi-story building on a street corner, overcast sky.

The historic 1913 Gwynne Building, a prime example of Beaux Arts commercial architecture and former P&G headquarters, will soon be converted into a five-star luxury boutique hotel. With a $81.5 million investment, this project aims to preserve the building’s unique history while introducing modern amenities. Key features include façade improvements, window replacement, a rooftop deck, and a third-floor addition. The hotel will offer 168 guest rooms and will be strategically located along the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar line, providing easy access to the city’s attractions.

The hotel will feature a ballroom, event spaces, board rooms, and four distinct dining and entertainment experiences, including a rooftop bar. Additional amenities include a fitness center with Peloton equipment, a club and spa, 6,500 square feet of indoor meeting and event spaces, and a presidential suite spanning the 14th and 15th floors. This transformation will enhance the building’s historic charm while offering new opportunities for the Cincinnati community, creating jobs, boosting tourism, and contributing to the local economy.
