Biography

Chris joined Bayer Becker in July 1989 as a member of the field survey crew. Chris has experience in a variety of surveying applications including: boundary location/retracement, topographic, aerial mapping, geodedtic control, ALTA/ACSM, and construction layout/staking. In 2007 Chris became a Principal at Bayer Becker.

Chris oversees all aspects of the survey work at the Kentucky office from initial client contact and site reconnaissance to the finished record maps or plats. He has extensive experience in boundary survey work including records research, field data acquisition, resolution, property descriptions and platting. Chris has completed surveys for residential subdivisions, industrial parks, retail and commercial centers, utility corridors, and roadway alignments. He has also worked as an expert witness in boundary dispute cases.

Chris has a broad understanding of survey equipment and technology including robotic total stations, electronic field controllers, and global positioning systems. In addition he is also proficient with AutoCAD, Eagle Point, and Trimble Geomatics Office software suites. Chris has the experience, knowledge, and dedication to provide solutions for even the most complex surveying projects.

Chris is a Licensed Professional Surveyor in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was President of the Kentucky Association of Professional Surveyors (KAPS) in 2004 and currently serves Liaison to the Licensure Board and Policy Manual Chairman. He received the “Surveyor of the Year” award in 2000 and was an integral part of the team that had legislation passed in early 2005 that will require all future Kentucky surveyors to have a bachelor’s degree in order to become licensed.
