Developer J. R. Anderson Real Estate did not have to look far to find an experienced site plan consulting firm to design their second outdoor lifestyle center. Bayer Becker was awarded this challenging assignment, having successfully completed Greater Cincinnati’s first outdoor lifestyle center Rookwood Commons. Crestview Hills, a redevelopment of an existing and operating indoor mall into an open air site features multiple out lots. Bayer Becker’s large scale site design expertise included: master site planning, pre-design site due diligence planning, knowledge of local zoning regulations and requirements, infrastructure design and connection to existing utilities.
A success factor included the firm’s Project Management expertise. Project phasing was scheduled and sequenced to maintain public access to the operating department store anchor and out lots during construction. Design, demolition and construction were completed in two phases. Additionally solutions were delivered through water supply design, rerouting infrastructure coordinated to minimize disruption of water service to the regional area.
