Tanner Alley, PE, and Steven Proffitt have been promoted to associates, strengthening our foundation of innovation and client-focused service. These advancements reflect our dedication to developing top talent and driving success for our clients and communities.
Katie Dillenburger, PE
After more than 25 years with Bayer Becker, Katie Dillenburger joins the team of ten principals. President, Etta Reed says "Katie’s dedication has shaped her into a remarkable leader, one who is admired by colleagues, respected across our industry and valued in our communities. I have had the pleasure and privilege of working alongside her for over 20 years and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Her unwavering can-do attitude is something I've consistently admired.”
Katie holds a degree in civil engineering from University of Cincinnati. She brings extensive expertise in traffic engineering and roadway design, with a strong background in planning, analysis, and design for diverse development and infrastructure projects across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Tanner Alley, PE
After completing five co-op terms with both Bayer Becker’s surveying and civil engineering teams, Tanner joined Bayer Becker in 2021. His well-rounded experience as a UC Bearcat provided him with valuable insight into the entire design and construction process. Now an associate and integral member of our civil engineering department, Tanner’s focus on creating clear, constructible plans and his passion for revitalization help deliver projects that make a meaningful impact on communities. Principal Rob Keller shares, “Tanner is very committed to his clients and is extremely service-oriented. He’ll do what it takes to get the job done. In his short time here, he’s worked on a broad and diverse range of projects—both private land development and public infrastructure—while building strong client relationships and mentoring our co-ops to strengthen the team.”
Steven Proffitt
With over 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, Steve has worked across both public and private sectors, bringing a wealth of knowledge and perspective to the firm. Steve joined Bayer Becker in 2025 and quickly became a recognized leader and connector within the Greater Cincinnati architecture, engineering, and construction community. Now an associate, his energy and strategic approach help strengthen our team and drive impactful collaborations. Principal John Delverne shares, “If you know Steve, you know he brings exceptional energy to his work and his relentless drive to grow our business. I am most impressed with his ability to cultivate strong relationships with partners and strategically assemble winning teams.
